Building for God's Glory
BUILDING FOR GOD’S GLORY
FAITH FAMILY FUTURE
April 2025
Dear Friends of Sacred Heart,
In early 2024, Sacred Heart Church in Shelby conducted a feasibility study and based on the results, launched a capital campaign in November 2024. Our goal is to raise $2,500,000 to build a parish/community center that is easily accessible to all, including handicap requirements. I’m reaching out to you to share the great progress we have made in our mission to create a gathering space for all in our community to enjoy now and for our future generations.
We have secured over $2,114,327 which is 84.57% of our goal in just four months, thanks to the generosity of so many people. To date, we have received 106 pledges from active and former parishioners. We are sincerely seeking financial support from you to meet our campaign objectives; to increase FAITH, support FAMILY and secure a FUTURE for our community.
You may have been baptized, confirmed or married in our beautiful church or possibly said good-bye to a loved one. Many have made contributions in memory of a loved one; especially in memory of parents. A contribution from you will directly impact our efforts, allowing us to break ground and lock in current pricing. If you feel called to help support us in this project I would appreciate hearing from you by May 1, 2025
We know our goal can be reached with your help.
If you have questions or would like to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Fr. Andrew Litt, Pastor
A Vision for the Future
Sacred Heart has hired For the Greater to conduct a feasibility study for the building of a new parish hall. Clark Architects Collabrative 3 has put together a potential plan for this new hall. We will beginning a study to see the financial ability of bringing this plan to life and to help continuing to build the parish community of Sacred Heart.

Pentecost Novena to the Holy Spirit
This Novena, or 9 days of prayer, was asked of Our Lord to the Apostles at His Ascension into Heaven. This is the originator of the term and the 9 days of prayer known as a Novena. It is a tradition within the Church to pray along with the Apostles for the coming Gifts of the Holy Spirit during these 9 days before Pentecost. This Link will direct you to EWTN and the prayers for this Novena to the Holy Spirit.
Congratulations to Mitchell Schleis
on his Call to Orders. His Ordination to the Deaconate is scheduled for May 26th @ 7:00 pm at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ in Lincoln, NE.
